Géraldine GAZO was admitted to the Monaco Bar in January 1997 and founded her own firm in 1999.

She joined 99 AVOCATS as a partner in January 2025.

A graduate in Business Law, Private International Law and International Trade Law, with a PhD in Private International Law from the University of Paris and a Masters in International Law from King's College London, Géraldine GAZO is a key figure in private international law in Monaco, having made a major contribution to the drafting of the Monegasque Code of Private International Law passed in 2017.

She is renowned for her extensive experience of cross-border and international property issues, and for establishing litigation strategies involving multiple jurisdictions for both property and criminal proceedings.

She assists clients of various nationalities before civil and criminal courts at all levels, and has a sophisticated knowledge of, and extensive experience built up over more than 25 years in, succession disputes, family disputes, asset protection, asset tracing and international investigations.

Géraldine GAZO has developed leading-edge expertise in private international law. She handles complex cases for major players such as private banks, family offices, asset management companies, families, investors and charities. For several years she managed a Monegasque family office for a Canadian family with links in Switzerland and New Zealand. She sat on the Supervisory Board of a multinational company, representing a Dutch family. She has sat on a number of foundations and associations representing private clients of various nationalities. She regularly gives legal opinions on private international law and has taken part in hearings before foreign courts as an expert.

Géraldine GAZO assists clients with their estate planning: marriage contracts, wills, protection mandates, and has been appointed executor of wills on several occasions in the context of international successions.

Géraldine GAZO was a representative member of the Principality of Monaco at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris for over ten years. She took part in a special drafting committee for the legislative modernisation of international arbitration.

She was Chair of the Financial Affairs Section of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of the Principality of Monaco, providing technical advice to the Monegasque Government.

Géraldine GAZO is a member of the French Committee of Private International Law, and presented the reform of the Code of Private International Law to this Committee during a session dedicated to international specialists in the field.

She has given numerous lectures at international meetings and has published in a number of legal journals, including the ICC Bulletin, Yearbook of Private International Law and the Monegasque Law Review.

Géraldine GAZO has developed an expertise in art law, enabling her to act as counsel to art galleries, auction houses and collectors.

Géraldine GAZO has been made Chevalier de l'Ordre de Saint-Charles, a distinction that rewards merit and recognises services rendered to the Monegasque State or to the Person of the Prince.
