'New for our rights in Monaco!'

A contribution (in French) from our Family Law Department, with a child-friendly visual, on the extension of the remit of the Haut Commissariat à la Protection des Droits et à la Médiation de Monaco - High Commissioner for the Protection of Rights and for Mediation (ombudsman), which now includes the protection of children's rights and interests.

What's new? The High Commissioner new mission is you! A new ally!

What does it do? The Office of the High Commissioner is responsible for protecting children's rights in Monaco + raising awareness + providing information.

How? You (under 18), your parents, members of your family, medical and social services + associations defending your rights can refer cases to the High Commissioner on an amicable basis and free of charge.

What for? The Haut Commissariat can, for example, listen to what you have to say, request information and documents, make recommendations + mediate.
The Haut Commissariat can also be called upon to: give its opinion (for example, opinion on a draft law), carry out studies on issues relating to the protection of children's rights.
