Presentation to the Club des Résidents Etrangers de Monaco (CREM)

26 March 2025 (Monaco)

Erika BERNARDI, Partner, and Ewelina WASOWSKA, Head of the Family Office Department of 99 AVOCATS ASSOCIÉS, had the pleasure of discussing with members of the Club des Résidents Etrangers de Monaco (CREM) on 26 March on the subject of ‘Arriving in Monaco from the UK: what to expect’.

A change of residency from a common law system to a civil law one entails a lot of adjustments from a personal and wealth perspective.

Topics covered included the main points to consider for these new residents (implications in terms of marriage, divorce, succession, residence, trusts, etc.), with a focus on the differences in legal systems and the questions most frequently raised.
